Inteset USB Internal Infrared (IR) Kodi & Media Center Receiver with Cable & Custom Mounting Bracket
This custom IR board is connected to a USB header on the motherboard with the 13″ cable provided and is ready to go. Be sure the computer is OFF during installation. The board size is so small (1 1/8”W x 1 5/8”L x 3/8” H) that it can be mounted almost anywhere with double stick tape inside your computer case. The mounting bracket provided can be mounted with double stick tape or you can use 4-40 screws into the threaded holes in the bracket. The bracket comes with the hardware needed to mount the IR receiver to the bracket. Screws are not included to attach the bracket to your case since there are many possible mounting variations.
The sensor on the front of the board must be in the line of sight for the remote to operate. However, only a small hole of about 1/8” is necessary for the receiver to see the remote. As long as the black sensor on the receiver is in that hole you will be able to use the remote up to 30 feet from the receiver.
You must install the internal MB Header USB connector of the receiver with the red wire facing the back of the case or the back of the header on the MB. The back of the header is the end opposite the end with the missing pin. Works with any R6 protocol remote including our INT422 Univrsal Remote
Features: · Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7, 8 and 10 as well as Kodi · Small USB internal receiver with a custom USB cable for your motherboard header · Uses standard eHome Microsoft drivers, no software to install. · Protocol: RC6 IR Protocol.
The eHome drivers will load automatically when the USB connector is inserted in the computer’s USB header. Be sure that your Device Manager shows the eHome drivers loaded under Human Interface Devices as well as Universal Serial Bus Controllers as shown in the screen shot above. If you remove the USB connector from the header the two eHome listings should disappear.
